Rabe Agrartechnik

History RABE

In 1889, Johann-Friedrich Klausing founded his own blacksmith shop in Rabber. There he was involved in the manufacture of ploughs and other agricultural implements. In 1926, sugar beet equipment was built for the first time, followed a little later by the production of tractor cultivators. Sales rose so high that the company had to be expanded significantly in 1933. The company founder's sons, Friedrich and Heinrich Klausing, built a new, enlarged plough and agricultural machinery factory in Rabber near Bad Essen in 1933/34.

In 1936, Heinrich Klausing decided to build his own factory in Linne, which resulted in the two company owners separating. Friedrich Klausing, who now ran the main factory in Rabber alone, renamed it Niedersachsen-Werk Friedrich Klausing KG.

108 of the 176 employees at the main factory in Rabber followed Heinrich Clausing (since he separated from his brother, he wrote himself with "C") to Linne, and in 1938 the new "Rabewerk" started production here.

In 1958, Heinrich Clausing died in a car accident and his son Fritz Clausing took over the company at a young age.

In 1976 Rabe put another factory in France into operation, in 1980 he also took over the Lower Saxony factory, in 1989 the company began producing seed drills and soon afterwards, in 1992, acquired the Saxonia factory in Bernburg. Meanwhile, the number of employees grew steadily. In the 1990s, around 1,000 people worked at Rabe, and 105 apprentices were trained every year.
